Cutthroat are available throughout the river. Sea-run cutthroat fishing should be decent as fish are dispersed throughout distribution at this point. Cutthroat numbers appear to be good this year. The Kilchis is very low and gin clear, so stealthy tactics and light gear will up the odds of success.

The Kilchis River opened for fall Chinook on Aug. 1, and there are some fish showing up in Tillamook Bay. But it will take a good rain to move fish into the river.
