This came in from skipper/producer Dan Walsh, who is taking his usual after-motocross vacation with a group of friends at Rancho Leonero:
Water temps mid 80's we limited on Dorado, three nice bulls and three very respectable smaller almost-bulls, along with seven schoolie-size ahi and a ton of some of the largest skippies I've ever seen. Fishing with Santos on El Guapo with Carlsbad residents Mike Mason and George Mironoff, using all Accurate Reels and Seeker Black Steel rods, 30 and 40-pound topshots of fluoro. Fishing today about eight miles from the Ranch, we were back on the beach by 1 P.M. We started the day making some squid for bait, then picked up sardinas from local bait brothers."
