Emigrant remains at 3 percent full at the end of irrigation season. The boat ramps are not usable, so there is no access currently for trailered boats. As water temperatures cool, bank anglers may want to give Emigrant a try for rainbow trout or bass.

There is a longstanding health advisory for consumption of resident warmwater species in Emigrant for high levels of mercury. Consult the sportfishing regulations or the Oregon Health Authority for more information on consumption guidelines.
